i woke up starving this morning. getting ready and packing lunch took waaaaaaayyyyyyy too long. i think i may have to pack some easier lunches, because it took a good half an hour or so this morning! but that includes picture time

after all that hard work, i made a scrumptious bowl of oat bran:
- 1/3 c oat bran
- 1/3 c water, 1/3 c vanilla soymilk
- barely 1/2 banana
- 1/3 c pumpkin (stirred in near end of cooking)
- pinch pumpkin pie spice
topped with:
- 2 dates, chopped
- sprinkling pumpkin seeds (i bought everything pumpkin at the store on sun)
- ginger-o cookie, broken into pieces
- spoonful pumpkin butter
- spoonful white chocolate wonderful
i prefer my standard almond butter to the white chocolate wonderful, but this was a fun change. also, it's nice to know that having chocolate-themed nut butters around isn't a threat.


moving on to what i packed for lunch...
rudi's spelt wrap with herbed greens, 1/2 a small avocado, cucumber strips, and tabouli
... and carrots as an afterthought
i almost had yogurt for breakfast this morning... but really wanted my oatbran. so i packed some yogurt for a snack:
in a HUGE bowl because i am out of 2-cup containers (5 of them are filled with bengali lentil stew)! anyway, this is a mix of wallaby pineapple-coconut yogurt, mainely main granola, and blackberries. i'm sad to report that my strawberries have died, and they weren't that old! this is the first time in a long while that i actually have to throw out fruit. so sad!
