i made it a good 3/4 of the run before it got a bit dark, but i ran faster and stronger than normal. it was great. i normally don't run 2 days in a row (except occasionally on weekends) but this just felt right. and it will feel nice to sleep in a bit longer tomorrow (because most likely, even if i woke up not wanting to run, i'd push myself to do it anyway, so this way it was more voluntary).
after the run i made some amazing leftovers. nomming as i type. i had poured the extra polenta into a mini loaf pan last night and stuck that in the fridge; tonight i sliced it and seared it with a small amount of olive oil. i went a bit overboard in the presentation, adding a couple sprigs of thyme (for my 2, maybe 3? readers). the vinaigrette on the sides was awesome too. this just confirms that i will never pay hundreds of dollars to dine at a restaurant like french laundry, because this plate probably cost me $5.

i'm didn't get through all my snacks today, so i'm slightly behind on exchanges, especially considering the run... i wasn't hungry for my a.m. snack and then i dipped into my girl scout cookie supply at work and ate 2 thin mints and a samoa instead of my p.m. snack. around ** 1 starch, 1 other ** in place of ** 1 starch, 2 dairy **.
