i wrapped up my friend's present this morning and o m g it is the cutest presentation ever. i didn't have wrapping paper so i used yarn. crocheted cat toy on top!!!
i didn't know what i wanted for bfast this morning, but then i decided that i wanted to taste the jam that i used in the cookies i made, because i used fancy jam (sarabeth's plum-cherry), so i worked my breakfast around that.
ezekiel english muffin with plum-cherry jam, ~1t butter on 2nd half (i so rarely eat butter directly on things but i think i like it! and it's really not a bad thing), 1/2 cup cottage cheese with maybe 1/3 cup defrosted blueberries
** 1.5 starch, 1 dairy, 1/2 fruit, 2 other **

and look what's hiding under the english muffin?!
i struggled with what i wanted for bfast partly because i packed an almond butter-banana sammich for lunch, and so i wanted to think of a breakfast that didn't include almond butter or banana but that wasn't cereal or oatmeal because i wasn't in the mood. ha!
my lunch:
almond butter-banana sandwich, sliced piƱata apple (i keep buying these apples - so good)
** 3 starch, 1 fruit, 1 protein, 1 other **

here's the top of my tupperware sandwich container:
what, no snacks? well i'm sure i'll be eating at least one of these in the morning:
probably around ** 1 starch, 1 protein, 1 other ** in a larger one? these are made with 1/2 flour 1/2 ground almonds so that's why i snuck in a protein <-- i like this guy, he looks like he's eating
and then since it's friday, my friend & i will be having lattes mid-afternoon.
** 2 dairy, 1 other **
yay for treat day! i'm actually feeling OK about the treats... i think overall my diet has been very healthy and a bit of chocolate/ice cream/etc. here and there is probably a v. good thing for me.
