since it is going up to 60 today, i decided to go to the state park to take a walk. i needed to return my friend's movie to the store (which is on the way to the park, and conveniently located next to a nice coffeeshop), so i headed out... but first i was feeling a bit hungry, so i had a handful of these little guys:
whole foods pb filled pretzels (5)** 1/2 starch **after returning the movie, i stopped at the coffeeshop and treated myself to this:
12 oz. soy 2-shot "carameltopia" latte (sans whipped cream)** 1.5 dairy, 1 other **and then i headed out on "sal's branch" trail at
umstead, sipping as i walked along, and enjoying the beautiful weather and nature. it was a perfect 2.7 mile walk.
by the time i got home it was 1:20, and i was ready for lunch. i was craving something fresh, and luckily i had just what i wanted stocked in my fridge & pantry:
honey-maple turkey & provolone cheese on toasted rudi's honey whole wheat bread, bit of light mayo & mustard, spinach greens + bell pepper & cucumber strips with roasted garlic hummus... and a cup of pumpkin tea** 2 starch, 2 protein, 1 dairy, 2 veg, 1 other **finishing up now (2:10 already) and thinking about what to do for the rest of the day...
