my breakfast bowl this morning, that is. i pretty much copied a kath recipe, with a few substitutions/additions:
  • 6 oz. chobani plain
  • 1/3-1/2 c pumpkin
  • 1/2 banana
  • roughly 3/4 c mix golean & h2h
  • 2 dates, chopped
  • 3 candied walnuts, crumbled
  • 1 T flaxmeal
  • drizzle pumpkin butter
  • 3 blackberries
  • scant tsp cinnamon
before mixing:

and after... with 1/2 packet (1 T) maple-almond butter:

i almost did not finish this bowl. not only because it was majorly filling but because i started freaking out about the calories... and i must admit i went to my calorieking manager and entered everything in. i'm pretty used to a hearty breakfast, usually around 500 calories... and this clocked in at around 550. so really, not a big difference. i'm somewhat anxious right now, feeling as if this bowl is somehow showing on me, but i know those are crazy thoughts!

i packed an easy lunch today:

amy's black bean burrito, sweet potato tortilla chips, and red pepper/carrot sticks

ha, this is probably a slightly lower-calorie lunch than usual. i certainly didn't plan on it that way, but it does show how things even out pretty naturally...

i'm already looking forward to my p.m. snack:

a cup each of of pb puffins and awesome strawberries
